Design Fundamentals
Design Fundamentals module allowed me to showcase my personal style and creativity. With the module I was able to hone my skills as the module focuses more on techniques like hand rendering, hand sketching, clay making and painting. Able to which in-between digital and hand drawn sketches and renders allows my work to have different tones to match with different projects or client request.
Sustainable &
Architectural Design
Studies
Sustainable & architectural design studies widen my knowledge on the types of buildings and architecture along with the types of materials used to construct it. By understanding the types of materials and types of architecture, defining the style of a project would be much easier.
Building
Technology
Building technology module has 3 different parts to it; timber, steel and concrete/masonry. I was able to develop a well-rounded understanding of the joints and weight distribution of different materials. Also hone my skills in drawing as had to make detailed and technical AutoCAD drawings.
Communication Design
Arguments
In Communication Design Arguments, each pair were tasked with identifying a problem in Singapore and provide a design solution for that problem. As my partner and I were very much toubled by the fact that works of artists and designers can be stolen right under their noses without anyform of legal protection. As architectural designers ourselves, we hope to shed more light onto this matter and provide artists and designers with a safer work space.
Digital Visualisation
Digital Visualisation allows me to hones my digital rendering and model making skills in mulitiple softwares like 3D MAXS, Revit, AutoCAD and touching a little on Lumion. With these skills I am able to better communicate my ideas and design across more effectively.
